Visitor visa
The visitors visa, also known as a temporary residence visa, is an official document from Canada that is attached to a passport to demonstrate that all requirements for entry into Canada have been satisfied. It is necessary if you intend to travel to Canada or use it as a transit country on route to another country.
The typical validity period is up to six months, but the border services officer at the port of entry may decide to extend it for up to twelve months or it could be less than six months. Depending on different applications.
Requirements for applying for a visiting visa.
