PR Card Renewal

Citizenship and Immigration Canada issues a PR Card to each permanent resident of Canada (CIC). Citizens who frequently fly overseas or out of the nation use it as a valid form of identification. A valid PR card is necessary or required to ensure that you are allowed to visit Canada.

A PR Card must be carried whenever you leave the country or return, and its maximum validity period is five years. If your PR Card has expired, you should renew it to continue travelling freely outside of Canada.

How Can I Renew My PR Card?

CSPS Immigration Inc. may assist you in renewing your PR card by completing and submitting the application on your behalf to CIC. It is recommended to submit a renewal request well in advance of the PR card’s actual expiration date.

An applicant must disclose their international travels, home address, work address, and history for the previous five years in the application they submit. This will make it easier for the immigration officer to determine whether you are eligible for residency. You must proceed to the closest immigration Centre to obtain your new PR card if the officer is pleased.

URGENT Processing & Renewal of PR Cards

The process to renew a PR often takes a few weeks at most. To avoid any delays when travelling outside of Canada, it is therefore preferable to have it renewed before it expires. Our goal at CSPS Immigration Inc. is to provide you with a quicker PR card processing service. If you urgently need to fly somewhere but your PR card has expired, don’t panic; we’ll help you to apply for an urgent PR card processing. In the following circumstances, you may submit a rapid processing request:

  • Family crisis
  • Work Priority
  • Abroad Lost PR Status
  • Emergency Traveling
  • Unable to enter Canada
