Visa Extensions
One way for people to extend their stay in Canada is through visa extensions. The applicant must submit an application for a visa extension at least 30 days before the present visa expires in order to maintain their status.
The type of visa extensions available are.
- Student visa extension
- Worker permit extension
- Visitors visa extension
For a visitor visa extension, the applicant must submit an application for a visitor record, which must also state that the applicant is a visitor in Canada and show any extended visa expiration date.
Each type of visa extension has specific conditions that must be rigorously followed in order to give the application a fair chance of being approved.
